Other changes
After contemplating for months how I should get my hair cut, hoping to branch out to layers or something other than the straight-across-the-bottom do I've had since I was three years old, I've taken the plunge. With decent results, I must say (though it is more high maintenance than I'm used to dealing with).

Hey I finally took a plunge and layered mine too! I also got a little of the shorter side bangs...it's okay. I'll probaby grow my hair out again though. Your hair looks lovely...and yes I know this is late I'm just getting into the blogging world again.
Margaret, I was thinking about side swoopy bangs, too, but decided I'd go with baby steps. I may still do the bangs at some point, as my friend Sara W. recently took that plunge with very satisfactory results. Thanks for posting -- even if it was a long time in coming! Always good to hear from you. Hang in there...semester is almost over, right?
