They are more than they seem.
And I'm a bit afraid that I won't be able to articulate what makes their beauty, what it is that they contribute to not just literature as a whole (which is true), but more specifically to young adult literature of today.
They touch on something pure and true and...missing in a lot of stories. And they do it in the most beautiful way.
I know it sounds silly, but please read them.
As strange as it sounds: Keturah and Lord Death and The Book Thief.
How can they be related? And doesn't one of them sound so ridiculous?
Read them, and tell me your reactions. You will not be the same, that I can promise.

I will definitely read Keturah and Lord Death. I picked up The Book Thief to read again a few months back. I was moved immediately as I began to read again and take in the words and how beautifully the story is told, but like so many books I did not finish it. I want to read it all the way through a second time. My discipline for reading is lacking, but my tiredness at the end of a day is not.
Margaret, I completely understand your tiredness and lack of reading at the end of the day. The only reason I'm reading these days is because of school. I have no energy for anything else. Keturah is a very short novel -- big print and only 220 pages. Very quick read -- I did it in one Saturday afternoon. Maybe that will help get you motivated!
