Sitting in the family room with my brother and my parents, we were naturally discussing marriage. My brother is recently engaged and soon to be married, so it is the main topic whenever we're together.
Seeing Evan mature, I guess you'd call it, over the past two years has been amazing and given me hope for the guys my age who are still so intolerably immature. Mom says I must have patience, but I say - why can't they grow up?
We'd been heatedly talking about the idiocy of high school and college guys: Mom trying to get me to be merciful and failing. My dad, reading a paper in the corner and watching the basketball game on TV in between articles, sets down the paper slowly and looks at me.
"Lana, you're going to have to marry someone my age."
I always knew I'd marry someone older.

You're parents are so awesome. The things that come out of their mouths are just priceless. Your dad is infamous for his short, one-liners (at least in my eyes).. that always seem to make me laugh, even though they have nothing to do with me whatsoever. It's great.
